Hiking in Natural Preserve

Rancho Santana is home to a variety of tropical birds, small animals, crabs, frogs, plants, and troops of howler monkeys. The best time to walk our four miles of nature trails is early morning, just as the sun is coming up. The first section of the trail is about a mile long and affords easy hiking, mostly in the shade and along the estuary. A longer hike is also available along trails that wind through the 600 acres of natural, wooded preserve.
