Roberto Clemente Health Clinic
The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic is located just outside the entrance gate
of Rancho Santana. Within this modern facility, the Clinic's small yet
dedicated medical team provides health education, emergency care, and
treatment for chronic health problems endemic to this part of the world.
The Clinic opened its doors in 2004, thanks to generous donations of time
and money from the Granados family, the Rotary Club of Pittsburgh, and
executives of Agora Publishing. Today, it serves as a model health clinic
for all of Nicaragua. Over 3,000 residents rely on the Clinic as their
primary means of medical care. Medical professionals are on call 24 hours
per day, and there is a pharmacy located on-site.
The Clinic's U.S.-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization depends solely on
private donations to support its operations. The clinic also runs a
volunteer program for any medical professionals visiting Rancho Santana who
